I finally got in on Monday. The good news is I will get an extra day of leave because I had to stay in Atlanta one night. I’m having a great time and will try to take pictures to share. If anyone in the area wants to stop by to say hi, I will be at Watson’s in Elwood tonight.

US military deaths in Afghanistan region at 849 (AP via Yahoo! News) November 28, 2009

As of Friday, Nov. 27, 2009, at least 849 members of the U.S. military had died in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Uzbekistan as a result of the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan in late 2001, according to the Defense Department. The department last updated its figures Friday at 10 a.m. EST.
